Culture and Development at Fonderia Artistica Battaglia
Graduated in Fine Arts (Sculpture) in 2011 at Byam Shaw School of Art in London. As an artist she also took part in the Marrakesh Biennale #5 and #6, in 2014 and 2016.
Since 2012, after a period of apprenticeship, she works in the Battaglia Fine Art Foundry managing cultural projects with young artists and historical institutions. She lives and works between Milan and Palermo.
Writer, Curator and Professor at HEAD Geneva
Yann Chateigné is a writer, curator, and professor at the Geneva School of Art and Design (HEAD–Genève). He previously has served as dean of Visual Arts at HEAD – Genève and chief curator at CAPC in Bordeaux. Previous projects include Bringing Something Back, Bergen Kunsthall (2018), Seismology, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2013) and IAO. Psychedelic Explorations in France, 1968–∞, CAPC (2008). His writings appeared in Artforum, Frieze, Kaleidoscope, Mousse and Spike. He coedited "The Archive as a Productive Space of Conflict" (Sternberg Press, 2016).
Curator at Fondazione Prada
Eva Fabbris is since 2016 a curator at Fondazione Prada. She obtained a Ph.D. in Humanities from the Universita’ degli Studi di Trento. From 2013 to 2016 she coordinated "Back to the Future", a section of Artissima fair in Turin. She curated solo and group exhibitions for international institutions, among which the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco in Montecarlo, la Galerie de l’erg in Brussels, Triennale di Milano and Fondazione Morra in Naples. She contributes to Mousse magazine, L'Officiel and Flash Art. She has extensively worked with or addressed the work of Giorgio Andreotta Calò, Marc Camille Chaimowicz, Anna Franceschini, Dora Garcia, Yervant Gianikian e Angela Ricci Lucchi, Pierre Leguillon, Diego Marcon, Fausto Melotti, Brian O’Doherty, Alessandro Pessoli, Paul Sietsema, among others.
Artistic Director of the MAN Contemporary Art Museum Nuoro
Luigi Fassi is the Artistic Director of MAN Contemporary Art Museum in Nuoro, Italy. From 2012 to 2017 he held a position as Visual Art Curator of the Steirischer Herbst Festival in Graz, Austria, where he curated several exhibitions and public art projects by commissioning new works by artists such as Lothar Baumgarten, Peter Friedl, Jonathas De Andrade, Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Rana Hamadeh, Maryam Jafri, Kiluanj Kia Henda, and others. From 2009 to 2012 he was the Director of Ar/ge kunst Kunstverein in Bolzano, Italy, where he organised several group and solo exhibitions including Runo Lagomarsino, Chto Delat?, William E. Jones, Eva Kotatkova, and Alejandro Cesarco. A Helena Rubinstein Curatorial Fellow at the Whitney Museum ISP (2008-09), from 2010 to 2016, Fassi organized the "Present Future" section at Artissima, Turin, Italy. In 2016 he was a fellow of the Artis Research Trip Program in Tel Aviv and curator of the XVI Quadriennale in Rome, Italy. In 2017 he served as a nominator for the Prince Claus Award in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Currently he is a Committee Member of the Alserkal Avenue Residency Program, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Art-O-Rama, Marseille, France. Author of extensive essays for Artforum, Flash Art, Mousse Magazine, and Domus, Fassi is a regular contributor to Camera Austria.
Director of Vleeshal in Middelburg
Roos Gortzak has been active in the field of contemporary art since 2002, when she graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. As a critic, she was a regular contributor to the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant, and to art magazines such as Metropolis M and Art Review, while also writing texts for exhibition catalogs. As a curator, she worked on projects and exhibitions for, amongst others, the Biennale of Puerto Rico (2004), Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam (2005), Kunsthalle Basel (2007-2012), the Badischer Kunstverein (2014), and the multidisciplinary festival "What Happens" in Offenbach Stays in Offenbach. Since 2014, she has taken up her position at Vleeshal and curated solo shows with, among others, Cally Spooner, Ola Vasiljeva, Andrea Éva Győri and Paul Maheke.
SOFÍA HERNÁNDEZ CHONG CUY
Director of Witte de With
Sofía Hernández Chong Cuy (MX) started her tenure as Director at the Witte de With in January 2018, after being the curator of contemporary art at Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros in Caracas and New York from 2011 to 2017. In 2016-2017, she was also guest curator at the Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York. In 2013, Sofía was artistic director and chief curator of the 9a Bienal do Mercosul | Porto Alegre in Brazil, and before that, she was an agent of dOCUMENTA(13) in Kassel. In the past, Sofía has been director of Museo Tamayo in Mexico City and held curatorial positions in New York at Art in General and Americas Society. She is also a counselor for Fundación Alumnos47 in Mexico City, and is a board member of Creative Time in New York.
Director, Municipal Galleries, Lisbon
Tobi Maier is a curator, writer, and the director of the Municipal Galleries in Lisbon. Previously he organized the exhibition space SOLO SHOWS in São Paulo (2015-2018), worked as an associate curator for the 30th edition of the Bienal de São Paulo (2012), as a curator at Ludlow 38 in New York (2008–2011) and at Frankfurter Kunstverein in Frankfurt am Main (2006–2008). He holds a MA Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London and completed PhD research in the department of Poéticas Visuais at the Escola de Comunicações e Artes, Universidade de São Paulo. He contributes to a variety of journals and lectures frequently.
